About The Ella Bella Ballerina Series

Children can discover the magic of famous ballets with the charming Ella Bella Ballerina series. This delightful character is the creation of author and illustrator, James Mayhew, who lives Letchworth Garden City, England with his wife and son.

Each title in the series tells the story of Ella Bella as she and her dance class are introduced to a ballet by her kindly teacher, Madame Rosa. As Ella listens to the music, she is transported in a dream to the setting of each ballet, thus becoming an integral part of the story. Young children will, themselves, be entranced as they follow along with Ella as she learns about these famous ballets.

These enchanting stories are enhanced with Mayhew’s colorful illustrations, and at the back of each book, he provides a brief outline of the life of the composer and the history of the ballet.
